Peace Bird

Function: Candle extinguisher

Concept: peace bird is made from raw clay, if it breaks, it only returns to the earth element without harming environment. Its function is to put off candle flame in a very soft but effective way. The flame on the wick is totally sniffed off so that the wick is well preserved for future lighting. The action of putting out the flame is always soft and peaceful. The concept can be applied in a larger context.

Remember violence cannot be overcome by violence. Candle flame should not be blown off  by our breath, air feeds the flame. In order to put off the flame, the air should be limited and that is exactly how the peace bird put off the flame.

Peace Lady

 Function: Candle extinguisher

Concept : Peace lady is made from raw clay, if it breaks, it only returns to the earth element without harming environment, without becoming unwanted garbage. Its function is to put out candle flame in a very soft and effective way. The flame on the wick is totally put off so that the wick is well preserved for future lighting. The action of putting out the flame is soft and peaceful, lady-like.

The lady is holding flowers in her arms represents joy and freshness in life. The lady brings with her the feminine quality of life-giving, sharing, caring and love.

Allow her to put out fire that might be bothering you in your life.

Bhikkhuni for peace

Bhikkhuni is a fully ordained Buddhist nun. She is holding a bowl in her hands. Traditionally she would go out for morning alms. Here she begs you to put into her bowl hatred, anger, greed and delusion.

She is hand made from raw clay. To conserve nature, she was not fired ( not to add up to global warming) but she still performs the function of putting off candle flame. Put her on your altar to assist you with your daily chanting and praying.
